You should be able to lift at least 50 lbs, as you may be loading and unloading heavy objects. Driver Duties And Responsibilities

Transportation and Delivery

Transport clients to and from airports, hotels, lodges, and other places. Load, unload, and deliver goods, supplies, and packages. to their destination. Be able to operate a motor vehicle safely and make deliveries on time.

The ability to use a navigation system, route plan, and follow directions while observing safety regulations and laws. Be able to lift at least 50 lbs and assist in the unloading, loading, and verification process.

Communication and Collaboration

Practice excellent customer service and communicate effectively with others, like customers, dispatch, and others.

Provide critical feedback and be able to receive feedback from others. Collaborate with other departments, as needed. Be courteous, friendly, and have a positive demeanor towards customers.

Organization and Safety

Ensure the safe, on-time transport of clients, packages, supplies, and other cargo. Observe safety protocols and be aware of DOT regulations. Properly load, secure, and transport cargo at pick-up and drop-off locations.

Conduct vehicle inspections and be able to provide routine vehicle maintenance, as needed, like roadside maintenance.

Customer Service

Practice exceptional customer service. Accept payments on delivery, when needed. Maintain top customer service practices to ensure the customer’s expectations are exceeded. Answer questions and address concerns. Provide a friendly, courteous experience.

Reporting

Keep accurate and detailed logs of the delivery. Document the delivery including recording the route, miles driven, and other documentation, as needed. Document and report your activities. Complete and submit all documentation, as needed.
